Owen Baker Open – Saturday 10/3/09

The Owen Baker Open 2-Ball tournament will be held on Saturday 10/3/09.  $30.00 per member includes gross and net prizes and lunch.  You can pick your own partner, 4-some and tee time.  We are getting a good response from the public so there should be a great prize pool.   Sign up in the information center.

Phil Follies –Sunday 10/25/09

Phil’s Follies will be held on Sunday 10/25/09.  Pick your team and sign up for a great day of fun.

Fall Cleanup – Saturday 11/7/09

Fall cleanup has been scheduled for Saturday 11/7/09. 

Green Mtn Cup: 

BCC won the Green Mtn. Cup vs. Crown Point on Sunday 10/12/09.   Congratulations to all players.

Busy Days:

We have some busy days coming up at BCC.  Wednesday 9/23 is the Valley Seniors – available tee times 9-11.

Saturday 9/26 is the Elks 16 Run Pool with a 12:30 shotgun start so there will be available tee times until 10:00 a.m.

Sunday 9/27 is the Bar Wars with a 12:30 shotgun start so there will be available tee times until 10:00 a.m.

Meeting with Banks:

Barry Beeman, Cathy Coonan, Dave Henry and Stan Nowakowski met with all the bankers who hold our loan on Friday, September 18, 2009.  We discussed the status of the Club, the Membership and some of the positive strides we have made this year.  We requested their consideration to extend the current loan terms as well as a potential reduction in the interest rate.  They will be meeting in the next week.  As soon as a decision is made, we will communicate the outcome.

Repair Work Proshop and Clubhouse:

Art Greenbaum has done the repair work to some rotted areas in these locations.  It is our intent to paint the Proshop this Fall and consider painting the Clubhouse next Spring.

 New Members 2009:

The Membership Committee is contacting all new members of 2009 to solicit feedback as to what they liked, what they would recommend for new ideas and their plans for next year.

Reduction in Property Tax:

We should be saving a little of $12,000 per year in taxes after winning our appraisal appeal.

Tent Raffle Results:

The tent raffle was a great success. We sold 97 raffle tickets.  After paying for the tent and other expenses, the Clubhouse will net approximately $2500. 

NEW CLUBHOUSE HOURS:

1. The Clubhouse will be closed on Mondays starting 9/21/09
2. No more dinner menu Tuesday through Saturday – just Friday night dinners.
3. Lunch menu 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., then a limited menu from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
4. Starting on Sunday October 3rd we will be closing at 7:00 p.m. everyday except for Friday for dinners.
